Our Flood Restoration Equipment Repair Process

What We Repair

Our technicians at BTR Equipment Services are experienced with many kinds of flood restoration equipment including:

Note: we do not service truck mounts.

Pick-Up and Drop-Off

We offer pick-up and delivery during normal business hours which can be arranged over the phone. Wait times for this service will be dependent upon your location.

You are welcome to drop off equipment yourself from Monday to Friday between 8 am and 5 pm. Our shop is located at 1935 Friendship Dr. Unit B, El Cajon CA. 92020

Equipment drop-off is easiest in the alley behind our front office. Speak with any of our technicians and they will receive your equipment. If you are a first-time customer, we will require additional information.

Repair Timeline

• Your equipment is picked up or dropped off at our shop.
• Your equipment is diagnosed by one of our repair technicians.
• We will send you an estimate including the recommended work for all of your equipment. You are free to approve/deny each unit individually. Expect the actual cost to vary up to ±10%. (Please call if you have any questions or requests at this stage.)
• Upon approval, your equipment will begin the repair process. Or, upon denial, you will be charged a flat $40 estimation fee and we return your equipment.
• Upon completion, we will invoice you and call to arrange for your equipment to be picked up or delivered.

Service, Repair, and Cleaning Details

• Our hourly rate is currently $125.00. We will make every effort to minimize your costs and find the most effective way to keep your machines running.
• All equipment's power cord(s) and strain relief will be inspected for excessive wear or other damage and must be replaced if we deem it necessary for safety.
• All error codes are resolved and any timers are set to the manufacturer's specifications.
• The interior and exterior of the unit are cleaned and treated with a biocide/deodorizer. 
• (For dehu) Condensate pump and reservoir are flushed, the air path is cleared and steamed, and condensate coils are cleaned.
• (For dehu) The condensate pump is inspected for housing cracks/leaks. Float switches are tested for correct operation and timing. Manual purge operation is also tested.
• All motors and moving parts such as wheel assemblies are lubricated, if possible.
• Any repairs in excess of what is required for diagnosis and regular servicing of the equipment are cleared with you before we proceed. 
• The functionality of all phases of operation is tested for proper timing, pressure, temperature, and relative humidity. Handles, legs, and rubber feet are inspected.
• All equipment will undergo an electrical test for start-up and full load amperage and ground leakage.
• All equipment is returned to clients with a BTR label displaying the date your equipment was serviced/repaired.
